LoadRunner Cloud 2023.07: Enterprise-Grade SaaS Performance Testing

LoadRunner Cloud

OpenText LoadRunner Cloud (LRC) has consistently set the benchmark for SaaS performance testing teams across the globe. With its powerful feature set, in-depth reporting and no need for additional infrastructure, LRC has made it easy for anyone to run enterprise-grade performance tests.

Recently, OpenText (formerly Micro Focus) unveiled LoadRunner Cloud 2023.07. This edition is brimming with new features and advancements to help make your performance testing process simpler and more effective than ever.

In this insight, I take a look at LRC and break down a few of the new features you can find in LRC 2023.07.

What is LoadRunner Cloud

LoadRunner Cloud is a comprehensive SaaS-based performance test tool. It simulates concurrent users to test the performance of your web and mobile applications, ERP solutions and more. This helps you pinpoint performance bottlenecks, understand peak load behaviour, and ensure scalability.

You can use LRC to predict how your application will perform under the stress of thousands or even millions of users without actually having that traffic.

Deploying LRC typically provides an ROI within a year by reducing costs associated with maintaining hefty on-premises infrastructure and shortening the testing cycles. Typically, LoadRunner Cloud is cheaper than using free tools, not least of all because load-generating infrastructure is included.

5 Ways LoadRunner Cloud Will Improve Your Performance Testing

  1. Scalability on Demand: Being cloud-based, LoadRunner Cloud allows testers to easily scale up or down the number of virtual users as per testing requirements. This flexibility ensures that applications can be tested under various load conditions without the constraints of on-premises infrastructure.
  2. Cost Efficiency: There’s no need to invest in on-premises performance testing infrastructure or manage and maintain servers for load testing. This translates to significant savings in hardware costs and setup and maintenance effort.
  3. Global Testing: With LoadRunner Cloud, testers can simulate traffic from different geographic locations, ensuring a consistent user experience regardless of where users access the application. LoadRunner Cloud can also be easily accessed and used by testers across the globe.
  4. Intuitive Interface and Analytics: LoadRunner Cloud provides a user-friendly interface, making tests easy to set up and execute. It provides in-depth reporting analytics and insights, helping you quickly identify bottlenecks and areas of improvement.
  5. Always Up to Date: LoadRunner Cloud’s cloud-based nature ensures that it’s always updated with the latest features and supports the newest technologies, ensuring compatibility and reducing potential integration issues.

What can testers learn from SpaceX

What Can Testers Learn From SpaceX?

As a test professional, I’ve seen countless projects where defects are treated as disasters rather than learning opportunities. But what if we flipped that mindset? What if software development projects embraced failure as SpaceX does—not as an end, but as the beginning of progress?
